Mini Cheese Toast Recipe

Hot, crispy, cheesy deliciousness. My description doesn't do justice to how scrumptious these actually are.

I only make these in Ramadan. I came up with this super simple recipe years ago when my children were little and started fasting to give them something they would enjoy for Iftar.


These are so simple that you can make them any time. Three ingredients... can't beat that!

Mini Cheese Toast Recipe

30 Minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 French baguette sliced into rounds

  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated

  • 3/4 cup full fat mayonnaise

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 180C/350F

  2. In a medium bowl, mix cheese and mayonnaise.

  3. Spread mixture on each bread slice and lay on a baking sheet.

  4. Bake until brown and bubbly.

Tips and Bits

You can top these with olives or jalapeños for a twist.


You may need to add a little more mayonnaise to make a spreadable mixture.


You can add a 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes for a kick.
