Pound Cake with Lemon Glaze Recipe

You will love this buttery, moist pound cake with or without the lemon glaze so please do give it a try.

Today is a very special day for me because it is my youngest child, Raaid's, 13th birthday. He is the apple of my eye and the cutest kid in MY world.

Unlike the rest of us who love our cakes, cookies, pies and just about anything sweet, Raaid is a bit picky. One of his favorite desserts is my simple pound cake with lemon glaze and I love making it for him.

I like making loaf cakes because they last a day or two but are not so big that I don't know what to do with them. Especially, now since there are only 3 of us living in the house for the better part of the year.

The best thing about this recipe is the lemon glaze on top that tastes just like Lemon-heads…you remember the bright yellow, sweet and sour candies that were sold at the movie theaters?
